TROOP LEADERSHIP ELECTION

In order to be considered in the Senior Patrol Leader election, or selected for a Troop leadership position, you must complete a Leadership Application form (click here). Remember to sign the application and have your parent/guardian sign it also. Prior to completing the application be sure to read the responsibilities of the position and make sure you are eligible.

Some important things to consider:

· Available leadership positions are noted on the application

· The Senior Patrol Leader will be elected by the scouts in the Troop. Check the troop calendar for election date.

o All candidates will make a 1-minute speech explaining why they want the job, how they will do the job, and why they are the best choice for the position

· The Senior Patrol Leader will select scouts for the other leadership positions, with the Scoutmaster’s approval

· All Troop & Patrol Leadership positions must plan on attending Junior Leader Training – check the calendar for the date

· You do not need to complete an application for any Patrol positions (i.e., Patrol Leader, Assistant Patrol Leader, Patrol Quartermaster, Patrol Grubmaster)
